Clinical Massage Treatments. Using beautiful Essential Oils with all their medicinal properties, Fran blends massage oils to suit each individual client. Treatments can address physical problems such as Arthritis, back pain, headaches and sciatica for example and also psychological issues such as stress and low self-esteem. Some clients come simply for me-time. Treatments can last from 15 minutes to 90 minutes.
A member of the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists, Fran trained in London with Neals Yard Remedies. She regularly works from the Barefoot Studio in Cowbridge.
She also works on a regular basis with adults who live in supported housing, where treatments aid rest and self-esteem.
Baby Massage is becoming recognised in the West as a method of spending quality time with your child, something that has been known in Asia and Africa for centuries. Blends Aromatherapy offers 5 week courses, currently running in Whitchurch and Pontyclun which take parent and baby through a whole-body routine, using organic oil which is provided, along with a personalised booklet. Classes are fun and informal for parents with babies from 6 weeks to 6 months old.
Natural Product Range. Our Baby Range includes a Skin Balm, Soap, Bath Milk and Massage Oil. They are all extremely gentle and only include natural ingredients, such as Calendula Oil and Beeswax.
The Adult Product Range has some standard items such as a Relaxing Bubble Bath containing Lavender, Bergamot, Neroli and Clary Sage and our Moisturising Balm with Geranium and Orange. Again, only the finest ingredients are used, often organic Essential Oils and high-grade carrier oils and butters. No artificial nasties are used, ever!
Bespoke products can be made to order, perhaps to address personal issues, such as psoriasis or period pain. To order these, Fran would need to know some medical background in order to safely and effectively create the best oil or lotion for the individual concerned.
