Our July Workshop Event for next week (Wed 15th July) is filling up fast. This event is a very low cost way of learning different negotiating styles and recognising other people’s - to help you get the best out of every situation. Never be stuck for words at that all important meeting again!

The Vale Women’s Business Network has launched the ‘Spirit of Giving’ Awards

The first ever search for the female entrepreneur, manager or businesswoman who has made the most significant contribution to her business and community has begun.

The ‘Spirit of Giving’ awards have been launched in memory of Yvonne McDermott, a former VWBN member who sadly died from breast cancer in 2008.

The awards are set to become an annual event and will recognise the VWBN member who can demonstrate the added value, drive and determination they have ‘given back’ to their business or community. The awards are open to all VWBN members working in or on behalf of businesses in the Vale, and members can nominate themselves or another member.

The VWBN was founded on the principles of giving support to others and these awards will help to further those aims by recognising individuals who give their all to their business and those around them. At a time when many businesses need support to survive, we also hope that these awards will raise the VWBN’s profile to help us to recruit more members.

The closing date for entries is Wednesday 30 September 2009, and the winner will be announced at the VWBN’s March 2010 event. Entry forms are available at www.vwbn.org.uk

The VWBN Logo, Leaflets and Bags

If you are a VWBN Member and would like to use the VWBN Logo on your website, then please contact us for the artwork. We are also investigating producing VWBN cotton bags, using Members/VWBN logo. VWBN leaflets are also available for Members who would like to display them.
